You can fully customize Assignments on Blackboard so that your students see what you want them to see
Assignments support the addition of rubrics
Change the grade weighting of the assignment
Set a Due date
And set when it will be visible to students

How to Post Assignments

Step 1: Open up your desired course and Click the purple plus button

Step 2: Choose Assignment from the menu

Step 3: Create the assignment

You can put anything you want into the assignment text box
you can simply drag and drop a file into the text box and the file will be put into the assignment

The Insert Content button allows you to upload media from Kaltura as well as Youtube videos to the assignment
You can also insert links in the assignment via the "link" tool

Step 4: Assignment Settings

Clicking on the gear button on the right of the screen opens up the settings for the assignment

You can also access the assignment settings by clicking on the blue text on the right side of the screen
"Due date" allows you to set the due date of the assignment
- - - - allow for student conversations
        make no due date
        or you can select submit offline which mean you will collect the assignment in person
"Grading" allows you to set how much the assignment is worth

Step 5: Make sure to press save and make the assignment visible to your students
