Organization

Blackboard has many tools to help you keep your course well organized and easy to navigate. This tutorial will help explain learning modules, folders, and how they can help your course.

Folders

Folders can be used to organize material. If you have multiple videos or multiple documents pertaining to the same information, try using a folder to organize them. Folders can also be put inside of learning modules. Important note, you cannot put a folder inside of another folder.

Step 1: Click the purple plus button on your course page and then select "Folder" from the Course Content Items menu.

Step 2: Simply drag and drop your content into the folder.

Now everything can be accessed through one folder.

Learning Modules

Step 1: Click the purple plus button, then select learning module.

Step 2: Customize the learning module to encompass a specific section of your class.

Step 3: Add an image to the module.

You can either add an existing image from your computer, stock images, or even generate AI images through Blackboard

Step 4: Advance in sequence forces the students to go through the module in the order you've chosen. Just select the box and click save.

Now your course should be organized and easy for your students to navigate.
